How it works
Everything you need to know about planning, booking and launching your Lazer-Drones event.
We are Lazer-Drones.
Flying should feel like more than controlling a drone. It should feel like becoming the pilot you always imagined being. Goggles down. Game on.
What we believe
Outdoor fun should feel epic. Tech should bring people together. And if you're going to fly a drone, it should absolutely be a fighter jet: a Lazer-Drone.
What we do
Lazer-Drones Entertainment is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and was founded by CEO and inventor Ron Williams. We build Lazer-Drones for racing, dogfighting, target shooting, aerial challenges and pure fun. From your backyard to organized competition, we're creating an entirely new way to fly.
Your drone. Your skills. Your adventure.
Our promise
We won't build ordinary. Every Lazer-Drone is created around one question: would we be excited to fly it ourselves?
If the answer isn't HELL YEAH, we're not finished.
Our mission
To change what the word drone means. To build a community of pilots, competitors, families, friends and dreamers who would rather participate than watch.
Stop watching other people fly. Your turn.
Our story
Lazer-Drones was born from a love of America, aviation and the thrill of being in control. We grew up racing cars and motorcycles, building them for speed, tuning them for maneuverability and pushing them to their limits. That feeling shaped us.
With today's technology, we realized something important: not everyone will become a fighter pilot, but everyone should get to feel what flying could be.
So we built Lazer-Drones: a way for kids to chase the dream and for adults to relive the good old days. Our drones capture the spirit of American engineering, the excitement of competition and the freedom of flight. They're built for people who want more than a drone. They want an experience.
What is laser drone combat?
Laser drone combat is an arena sport where pilots fly fighter-jet drones that race through a course and dogfight, scoring points by landing laser hits on rival drones. Lazer-Drones Entertainment created Lazer-Drones Combat Sports to bring it to live crowds.
Drone racing
Pilots fly first-person view through the arena course at full speed. Fastest clean lap wins.
Aerial dogfights
Head to head in the air. Pilots score laser hits on rival drones and dodge return fire.
Precision targets
Timed target challenges reward aim and control, not just speed.
Fighter jets, not quadcopters
Every Lazer-Drone is modeled on a fighter jet and designed, built and tested in America.

Professional team, insured, FAA Part 107 certified pilots.
Fly safe. Fly legal.
Every Lazer-Drone is an aircraft under federal law. Before your first flight:
- Pass the TRUST test. The FAA's free Recreational UAS Safety Test is required for every recreational pilot. Keep your certificate with you.
- Register your drone. Drones over 250 grams must be registered at FAA DroneZone. Mark the registration number on the outside of the aircraft.
- Remote ID. Registered drones must broadcast Remote ID, either built in or with an add-on module.
- Stay under 400 feet and in sight. Keep the drone within your own visual line of sight at all times.
- Check the airspace. Near airports and in controlled airspace you need authorization first. Never fly over stadium events, emergencies or wildfires.
- Lasers and effects. Never aim the targeting laser at people, animals, vehicles or aircraft. Shining a laser at an aircraft is a federal crime. Use laser and effect modes only in approved competition settings.
- Respect people and property. Don't fly over people or moving vehicles, and follow state and local rules.
Rules change. Always check the FAA's current guidance at faa.gov/uas/recreational_flyers before you fly. Lazer-Drones event pilots fly under FAA Part 107 commercial certification.
